Score Predictions for West Virginia vs Kansas State
The West Virginia Mountaineers (4-6, 2-5) welcome the 15th-ranked Kansas State Wildcats (7-3, 5-2) Saturday afternoon at two o'clock EST and the action will stream on ESPN+.

There's a lot of noise surrounding the football program and rightfully so. Maybe I'm just fooled from last week's performance, but the WVU defense hasn't been the issue as of late. I'm not sure if Garrett Greene will start the game but he'll definitely be a factor and will once again bring a spark to the offense. Much like last week, West Virginia wins an ugly game that they have no business winning.

West Virginia has a chance to beat the Wildcats on Saturday, but they will have to overcome one of the best scoring defenses in the country and it doesn't bode well for the Mountaineers who ranks ninth in the Big 12 in scoring at 26.1 points per game.
Kansas State will be without starting quarterback Adrian Martinez. Will Howard will step in at quarterback and is 2-1 on the season with wins over Oklahoma State and at Baylor last week. However, as a freshman in 2020, Howard got the start in Morgantown and three interceptions as the Mountaineers pummeled the Wildcats 37-10.
The Wildcats have arguably one of the best running backs in the country in Deuce Vaughn and will undoubtedly give the Mountaineer defense problems.
I suspect the defense will bow up and keep the Wildcats off the board, but K-State will reciprocate. Wildcats will win in a close one, 20-16.
