SENIOR SPOTLIGHT: Matt Cavallaro
Ahead of Saturday's Senior Day festivities, take a look back at the career of QB Matt Cavallaro.
Matt Cavallaro (Matamoras, Pa.) joined the Mountaineer football team as a transfer from Lackawanna Junior College in 2020. He redshirted when he got to Morgantown, and had his first season in the gold and blue immediately halted by COVID-19.
He hasn't seen game action for WVU, but works with the offense as a play-calling liaison in-game.

2019 (Fr.) - Lackawanna College
- Played for coach Mark Duda at Lackawanna College
- Started 11 games, leading Lackawanna to a 10-1 mark and the NJCAA National Championship game
- Completed 116-of-227 passes for 1,754 yards and 23 touchdowns
- Scored two rushing touchdowns
- Season-high 229 yards and five touchdowns on 19-of-29 passing against ASA Miami
- Finished with 12 completions on 22 attempts for 210 yards and a season-high six touchdowns against Hocking
- Threw multiple touchdowns in seven games
- Played junior hockey in Foxboro, Massachusetts, for 1 1/2 years before attending Lackawanna
