West Virginia QB Hits Transfer Portal

Walk-on looks to get playing time elsewhere.

West Virginia's quarterback room shrank over the weekend as walk-on Jake Robbins announced that he has entered the transfer portal.

Robbins came to WVU following a solid career at Don Bosco Prep in New Jersey. His senior year was shortened due to COVID but still managed to throw for over 1,400 yards in the final two years of his career.

Robbins will have three years of eligibility remaining.

With the departure of Robbins, West Virginia has three scholarship QBs on the roster (Garrett Greene, Nicco Marchiol, and Sean Boyle) and three walk-ons (Scott Kean, Jackson Crist, and Sam Stoner).
