Where to Park & Eat for Duke's Mayo Bowl
If you're heading to Charlotte for the 2023 Duke's Mayo Bowl between West Virginia and North Carolina and need some parking/food suggestions, I've got you covered.
I moved to Charlotte a few years ago to cover the Panthers and Hornets in addition to covering the Mountaineers for FanNation on Sports Illustrated. There are several food spots that I recommend as well as some noteworthy tidbits about parking.
PARKING
415 S Mint St. ($30) is where I park when I work Panthers games and is in close walking distance to several restaurants, bars, and Romare Bearden Park. It's about a seven minute walk to Bank of America Stadium. Can enter at any time.
410 S Mint St. ($30) is another parking deck that I would recommend, if available. It's right across the street from the one mentioned above. I've used it several times and is about a three minute walk to the stadium. Can enter at any time.
720 S Church St ($40) sits behind the stadium and is attached to the Honeywell building (company logo can be seen at the top of building in red). This is about the same distance as 410 S Mint St., but probably the nicest of the three. Can enter after 2:30 p.m.
If those three decks are full, there's a few gravel lots across the street from Truist Field's left field. They are tighter lots and not the easiest to get out of but is still in close proximity to the stadium. A hidden parking space that many from out of town may not know about is 510 Martin Luther King Blvd. It is directly across Truist field and sits behind Circa Uptown apartments up against the railroad tracks. If you walk down the alley, you'll walk right into Graham St. Pub & Patio which is a sports bar near the stadium.
Be sure to check the hours of others garages/lots as some won't allow you enter until after 5 p.m. and with the bowl game being at 5:30, that's obviously not ideal.
