WVU DB Not With Team at UCF & a "New" WR is Dressed

Some roster news ahead of today's game.

West Virginia defensive back Andrew Wilson-Lamp did not make the trip with the team to UCF this weekend, according to multiple reports. Wilson-Lamp had the major blunder last week against Oklahoma State by running into his own punt returner, Preston Fox, which turned out to be a key moment in the game. The reason for Wilson-Lamp's absence is unknown.

Wide receiver Davis Mallinger is in uniform and will be available for the first time this season. He converted from defensive back in the offseason. WVU head coach Neal Brown mentioned earlier in the week that linebacker Lance Dixon (suspension), linebacker Jai Faverus (unspecified injury, and spear Hershey McLaurin (unspecified injury) would be out for the game. Wide receiver Hudson Clement was listed as doubtful but has officially been ruled out.

West Virginia and UCF will kick things off at 12 p.m. EST.
