WVU WR Preston Fox 'Questionable' for Mayo Bowl

West Virginia may be down a receiver for the bowl game.

In a little over two weeks, West Virginia will head down to Charlotte, North Carolina to take on the North Carolina Tar Heels in the Duke's Mayo Bowl.

The Mountaineers will already be down a key piece with All-American center Zach Frazier suffering a leg injury in the regular season finale win over Baylor, but there's some uncertainty around a few other players, including wide receiver Preston Fox.

Fox also left the Baylor game with a shoulder injury after making an incredible diving catch late in the third quarter. He was taken to a local hospital for further evaluation before making the trip back to Morgantown.

Last week, WVU head coach Neal Brown gave an update on Fox's status for the bowl game.

"I think it's too early to tell whether he's going to be available in the bowl game or not. He's recovering. It's going to be a little bit of a process. I don't know if we'll know that until we get into game week, so I think he's questionable."

West Virginia and North Carolina will meet on December 27th at 5:30 p.m. EST.

It's a Massive Month for WVU Football
