On Tuesday, West Virginia University center Zach Frazier added another preseason honor to his resume after an appearance on the 2023 Preseason Outland Trophy Watch List. The Fairmont, WV, native has also been named Preseason All-American First Team by Athlon Sports while Walter Camp and Phil Steel place him on the Preseason All-American Second Team.

Frazier was featured on the All-Big 12 Conference First team by the Big 12 Media, Athlon Sports, Phil Steele, and Lindy’s.

The 2022 All-Big 12 offensive lineman registered 51 knockdowns last season in 12 starts, including nine in the 33-10 win over Virginia Tech.

The Outland Trophy has been given to the best interior lineman in college football since 1946. Dr. John Outland founded the award with the belief linemen did not get the credit they deserved and wanted an accolade to recognize them.
