Just One Mountaineer Invited to 2024 NFL Combine

A light representation of West Virginia at this year's combine.

The NFL released the full list of 321 prospects that have been invited to the 2024 NFL Combine on Tuesday morning and just one of those players will be representing West Virginia - center Zach Frazier.

Frazier is widely regarded as one of the top centers in this year's draft, most projecting him to go early on day two of the draft, possibly at the top of the second round. He's logged 46 starts at the collegiate level and was named a Second Team All-American by College Football Network, USA Today, The Athletic, and Sports Illustrated and a Third-Team selection by the Associated Press.

There is, however, some uncertainty as to how much Frazier will be able to do at the combine as he continues to recover from the leg injury that he suffered in the regular season finale win at Baylor. He told reporters at the Reese's Senior Bowl earlier this month that he "should be fully cleared" by the time he heads to Indianapolis.

Consensus All-American cornerback Beanie Bishop and starting right tackle Doug Nester were not invited to participate at the combine and will work toward putting on a show at WVU's Pro Day to grab the attention of scouts, GMs, and head coaches.

The 2024 NFL Combine will take place from February 26th-March 4th. The on-field events will go from the 29th-3rd. Offensive lineman will take the field on March 3rd, beginning at 1 p.m. EST.
