Deuce McBride Breaks Evan Mobley's Ankles & Plays Key Role in Knicks Win

What a night for the former Mountaineer guard.

The New York Knicks have been reeling since the start of February, winning just four of their last twelve games entering Sunday's contest in Cleveland. In the opening minutes of the game, star guard Jalen Brunson went down with a knee injury and did not return.

The Knicks had to count on the bench to help make up for Brunson's loss and Bojan Bogdanovic and Miles McBride came through.

The former Mountaineer guard had a solid night on both ends of the floor scoring 16 points on 6/15 shooting (4/9 3FG) to go along with five assists. He also helped limit the dynamic Darius Garland to just 19 points on the night and received praise from his head coach, Tom Thibodeau afterward.

"He hit a huge, huge shot for us. And chasing (Darius) Garland around, not easy to do. Deuce gave us great minutes. Deuce was fantastic."

McBride also made one of the highlight plays of the night by breaking the ankles of Cleveland Cavaliers center Evan Mobley en route to an easy lay-in.

Over his last three games, McBride is averaging 13.3 points, 4.6 assists, two rebounds, and 1.3 steals. McBride and the Knicks will take the floor again on Tuesday night against the Atlanta Hawks and with Jalen Brunson's status up in the air, he could find himself in the starting lineup.
