Former West Virginia wing Emmitt Matthews Jr. has officially signed with an agent to help him make the transition to professional basketball. On Wednesday, Wasserman Basketball announced that they will be representing Matthews.

Wasserman represents a number of NBA stars such as Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, Derrick Rose, Domantas Sabonis, Klay Thompson, Russell Westbrook, and several others.

Matthews Jr. spent the first three season of his career at West Virginia before transferring back home to Washington to be closer to family. After just one season at UW, Matthews realized it wouldn't feel right if he didn't finish his career at WVU and ended up transferring back to West Virginia for his final season of eligibility.

Matthews played a big part in West Virginia returning to the NCAA Tournament, both from a production standpoint and a leadership standpoint. In 32 games this season, Matthews averaged 10.2 points, 3.9 rebounds, and 1.2 assists while shooting 47% from the floor and 31% from three-point range.
