Gary Jennings is Officially Back in the NFL
After an impressive spring in the XFL with the St. Louis BattleHawks, former West Virginia wide receiver was invited to the Carolina Panthers rookie minicamp for a tryout.
Tuesday morning, the Panthers officially signed Jennings alongside a few other XFL players.
In nine games with the BattleHawks, Jennings caught 11 passes for 149 yards and three touchdowns.
Jennings has bounced around from one practice squad to the next, spending a little bit of time with the Seahawks, Dolphins, Ravens, Bills, Colts, Raiders, and Chiefs. However, Jennings has only appeared in one regular season game in his career and that was back in 2019 with the Miami Dolphins.
During his time at West Virginia from 2015-18, Jennings recorded 168 receptions for 2,294 yards and 17 touchdowns.
