WATCH: Geno Smith Gets a Workout in With Tavon Austin
Geno Smith and Tavon Austin connected on several big-time plays during their time together at West Virginia and maybe, just maybe, there's a chance they can do the same thing at the NFL level.
Geno is coming off a tremendous season in which he threw for 4,282 yards, 30 touchdowns, and 11 interceptions in his first year back in a starting job. He was named the AP Comeback Player of the Year after leading the Seahawks to a playoff appearance.
As for Austin, he's battled a handful of injuries over the last several years and hasn't received many opportunities to get involved, even as a returner. He did not appear in a single game this past season.
But don't count Austin out yet. He was recently seen working out with Geno and still looked sharp running routes, all things considered. How cool would it be if Seattle would give Austin a one-year deal to end his career playing alongside Geno?
