McBride Shows Out in First Start of Season, Helps Knicks to Victory

What a night for the former Mountaineer.

The New York Knicks have been high on Miles McBride's potential for quite some time but didn't want to throw him into a role he wasn't ready for.

Now, he seems ready.

Earlier this month, the Knicks traded RJ Barrett in a three-team trade which ultimately opened up a path for more minutes for the former Mountaineer.

Saturday night, McBride got the starting nod for the first time this season and finished the game with 19 points on 7/10 shooting, including hitting 4/7 shots from downtown. He also chipped in six rebounds, five assists, one steal, and a block win the Knicks' 106-94 win over the Memphis Grizzlies.

"I always knew I could shoot. The misses don't bother me I just got to keep on putting them up and shooting with confidence," McBride said in his postgame interview with the Knicks' TV broadcast. "I'm just thankful for the organization believing in me when I was having my downs, they picked me right back up."
