Miles McBride Agrees to Multi-Year Extension with Knicks

A nice pay day for the former Mountaineer guard.

Late Saturday evening, Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN reported that Miles McBride and the New York Knicks have agreed on a three-year, $13 million contract extension.

McBride has seen extremely limited action in just 18 games this season but thanks to the Knicks trading RJ Barrett and Immanuel Quickley to the Toronto Raptors, it opens the door for Deuce to have an expanded role.

In 122 career NBA games (all with Knicks), McBride has totaled 345 points, 121 assists, 97 rebounds, 57 steals, and nine blocks while shooting 35% from the field and 29% from three-point range.

In his final season at WVU, McBride led the Mountaineers in scoring (15.8 ppg), assists (4.9), steals (1.9), and three-point percentage (41.4%), earning Second Team All-Big 12 and an AP All-American Honorable Mention selection.

He became the 35th draft pick out of West Virginia and the first Mountaineer to be selected in the NBA Draft since Jevon Carter in 2018.
