Best Virginia takes the top spot in the Best Virginia Bracket

On Wednesday, the TBT released the 2023 bracket with the West Virginia University men's basketball alumni team, Best Virginia, grabbing the one seed in the West Virginia Bracket set in Wheeling.

The $1 million, winner-take-all, summer basketball event is split into eight regions Wichita, Kansas (July 25), Wheeling, West Virginia (July 30), Dayton, Ohio (July 31), and Louisville, Kentucky (July 31). Philadelphia will serve as the host for TBT’s Championship week, with the semifinals (Aug. 2) and TBT’s $1 million winner-take-all championship game (Aug. 3) being played at Drexel University’s Daskalakis Athletic Center.

Best Virginia is matched up against the Dubois Dream in the opening round scheduled for July 25 at Wesbanco Arena, with the winner advancing and taking on the winner of Herd That (Marshall) and Zoo Crew (Pitt) in round two. 

Currently, there are four former Mountaineers confirmed for this year's edition of Best Virginia: Nate Adrian, John Flowers, Kedrian Johnson, and Kevin Jones while James Long will enter his third summer as head coach.
