WATCH: Gary Jennings Hits Top-End Speed to Execute Fake Punt

There is fast and then there's Gary Jennings-fast.

There's quite a bit of West Virginia flavor on the St. Louis BattleHawks, led by former Mountaineer tight end Anthony Becht. So it only makes sense for another former Mountaineer, Gary Jennings, to have one of the game's biggest plays during their comeback win over Vegas.

Down 17-8 with a little over five minutes to go in the fourth quarter, Jennings was on the receiving end of a fake punt and used his blazing speed to get into the end zone to make it a one-score game.

According to Reel Analytics, Jennings topped out at 22.5 mph during the run. That's the fastest speed they've documented this season. For comparison, Tyreek Hill, the fastest player in the NFL, has the fastest speed ever recorded at 23.2 mph.
