The 'Sunshine State' has long been a pipeline for West Virginia, and offensive assistant Travis Trickett is doing well tracking down Florida's elite prospects.

Last week, Trickett extended an offer to Fort Lauderdale 2020 cornerback Justin Hodges, who claimed the Mountaineers as one of his favorite teams from his childhood.

"I'm very shocked and appreciative because WVU has been one of my favorite schools since I was young," Hodges said of his offer.

The 6-foot-1, 155-pound ball hawk also holds offers from Miami, Iowa State, Central Florida and many others, but his recruitment is just starting to heat up.

Hodges doesn't have a top list of schools yet, but added he would like to commit to a program sometime after spring and that "somewhere that makes him feel at home" will be crucial in securing his talents.
