Missouri Safety "Shocked" by WVU Offer
West Virginia head coach Neal Brown made it a priority to recruit the Mountain State's "geographical footprint" in order to rebuild the Mountaineers into a national contender.
That hasn't kept the coaching staff from looking even further out, however, to identify elite talent.
Last week, defensive coordinator Vic Koenning looked towards Missouri, offering 2020 Saint Louis safety TJ Rush.
"I was very shocked but excited," Rush said of his offer from West Virginia. "It's my first 'Power 5' offer so I'm even more excited."
The 6-foot, 170-pound Rush currently holds offers from Bowling Green and Toledo, but is already planning a visit to Morgantown for sometime in April.
Rush currently doesn't have any leaders at this time and does not have a date set for when he would like to commit, but added that somewhere "where he feels like he's wanted, a family environment and good academics" will be important factors in his recruitment.
