Recruiting Roundup: WVU Snags Top RB, Biggest Names to Watch
After weeks of hardly any movement, West Virginia got a pleasant surprise from top 2020 running back Lamy Constant (Brooklyn, NY) who committed to the program on Tuesday night.
Constant appeared to be leaning towards West Virginia, but was also considering LSU, Texas A&M and Michigan State. Chalk this one up as an impressive win for co-offensive coordinator and running backs coach Chad Scott, who secured his verbal commitment.
Standing in at 6-foot, 195 pounds, Constant is not the biggest guy by any means, but is a physical back that can absorb hits and tack on yards after contact. He will certainly vie for playing time as a true freshman and could potentially hold out on using a redshirt. Not only is this a big get for the Mountaineers, but they’re getting a guy that can help the team right away.
