West Virginia Makes Top Six for 2025 ATH Tony Williams

Mountaineers are in the mix for an intriguing four-star defensive back.

Class of 2025 consensus four-star athlete Tony Williams (6'1", 190 lbs) of Palm Beach Central in West Palm Beach, Florida recently revealed his top six schools which features Arkansas, Florida State, Pitt, Rutgers, UCF, and West Virginia.

Williams also holds offers from Indiana, Iowa, Kentucky, Liberty, Louisville, Maryland, Penn State, Purdue, USC, and several others.

"The communication and how the all of the coaches always keep it real with me," Williams told Mountaineers Now as the main reason West Virginia made the cut.

The lead coach in charge of Williams' recruitment is co-defensive coordinator and defensive backs coach, ShaDon Brown, the coach he received the offer from back in September. Despite having the ability to play wide receiver at the next level, Williams is being recruited as a defensive back at West Virginia.

As a junior, Williams recorded 22 tackles, 16 pass breakups, and five interceptions.

He is scheduled to make a trip to West Virginia for an unofficial visit in early April.
