West Virginia Offers Minnesota DB Transfer

WVU sends out another portal offer.

The one area West Virginia really needs to see vast improvement in next fall is in the secondary. Throughout the next few months, the WVU coaching staff will be identifying players in the portal that may be able to help fix their issues from a year ago.

Recently, WVU sent out an offer to former Minnesota defensive back Beanie Bishop.

Bishop began his career at Western Kentucky, where he spent four years before heading to Minnesota. During his time at WKU, Bishop tallied 74 tackles, eight pass breakups, 8.5 tackles for loss, and three interceptions. In his lone season at Minnesota, he recorded 29 tackles and one pass breakup.

Bishop will have one year of eligibility remaining and has also heard from Kent State, Louisville, Purdue, Charlotte, and Western Kentucky (again).
