Recently, West Virginia has offered Jaylen Johnson out of Cincinnati Ohio. Defensive line coach Jordan Lesley was the first to offer the 6-2 200-lb pound safety.

“I was highly surprised,” Johnson said when he heard the news. Also adding, “I’ve always liked WVU ever since I watched Karl Joseph play.”

You can see that Joseph mentality when Johnson is on the field. He is aggressive from the safety spot, moving around pre-snap like a rabid dog. And when the ball is snapped, he is consistently playing down and laying a big hit on the ball carrier.

Johnson has not made his way to Morgantown yet and doesn’t have a date set. However, he stated that “I’ll most definitely love it.”

In addition, he plans to study business and engineering or physical therapy once he gets to college.

Jaylen also holds offers from:

· Ohio State

· Cincinnati

· Penn State

· Pitt

· Michigan State

· Michigan

· Purdue

· Louisville

· Indiana

· Boston College

· Kentucky

· Iowa State

· Toledo

· Western Michigan

· Akron
