Aligning with Community Goals: Wisconsin Athletics Food Drive

As the chill of autumn begins to set in, many families look forward to the warmth of the Thanksgiving season, a time of reflection and gratitude. This year, Wisconsin Athletics is amplifying the spirit of giving by once again joining hands with the Goodman Community Center for their annual Wisconsin Athletics food drive events, Stuff the Field House and Stuff the Kohl Center.

Celebrating 35 Years of Compassion and Commitment

The Goodman Community Center is celebrating its 35th year of unwavering dedication to the people of Dane County. Their yearly initiative has an ambitious goal - ensuring over 4,000 Dane County families receive a hearty Thanksgiving meal.

Join the Mission: Event Dates & Details

For those eager to contribute, the athletic department encourages fans to bring along non-perishable food items. Items in demand include stuffing, canned soup, instant mashed potatoes, broth, gravy, cranberry sauce, beans, and corn. Here’s a quick run-down of the events where you can drop your donations:

Stuff the Field House

November 4th, 2023: Volleyball vs. Illinois – Donations will be collected outside each UW Field House gate.

Stuff the Kohl Center

November 4th, 2023: Men's Hockey vs. Michigan – Be sure to stop by any Kohl Center gate to contribute.

November 6th, 2023: Men's Basketball vs. Arkansas State – Each Kohl Center gate will welcome your generous contributions.

November 14th, 2023: Women's Basketball vs. South Dakota State – Another opportunity at any Kohl Center gates to make a difference.

A Call to Action: Unite for a Noble Cause

While sports often bring communities together in celebration of athleticism and team spirit, this food drive event underscores the deeper bond of unity, compassion, and shared responsibility.
