Hurley Pro Surfing at Trestles
Hurley Pro Surfing at Trestles
11 Time World Champ Kelly Slater at the Hurley Pro
The Hurley Pro is held at Trestles (Lowers to be exact). It is one of the most famous breaks in the world. It sits on a cobblestone point that sucks in swells from any direction. The point configuration makes it exceptionally uniform. The name comes from the north/south rail line runs right along the coast at that point….you used to have to cross the train trestle to get to the break. Now there are trails to the break but you still have to cross the tracks somewhere. This is only one of two world tour stops in the USA.
