Call of Duty League Major 2 Schedule, Scores, Bracket - Atlanta FaZe Win
After an exciting Call of Duty League Major I that saw the New York Subliners take home the Championship, we are in for another wild ride on January 13th. Few had the Subliners taking home the title of Major I Champs, but they proved many people wrong and proved that they can hang with the best in the CDL. The new game, Modern Warfare 2, has been good to them, specifically Hydra, who carried New York to a stunning upset. But who will be the next team to master MW2 and take home Major II?
Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 has been an adjustment period for many teams, specifically the powerhouse OpTic Texas, who struggled with the new game and its mechanics in Major I. There has been a lot of drama surrounding the team, which we should get clarity on as we near the beginning of qualifiers.
A team that can hang their hats on Major I is Seattle Surge, who lost in the Championship, but showed that they have one of the best trios in the CDL in Mack, Pred, and Sib. They started slow at the beginning of Major I but made a strong push late to finish second in the Major. They made the adjustments needed in the new game of MW2, and we could see them make another deep run at Major Champs.
An exciting team that showed a lot of promise in the last qualifiers was the Minnesota RØkkr. After dominating qualifiers and entering group play as the top seed, they fell apart and got steamrolled throughout the rest of the Major. They appeared to have the new maps in Modern Warfare 2 down pat, but they couldn't hang with the other teams' adjustments. Look for them to bounce back and show they can be a top dog in the Call of Duty League,
