The red-hot Toronto Ultra took on the defending Call of Duty League Champions but the current struggling Los Angeles Thieves. It's hard to find a current team that's going to be able to hang with Ultra. We previewed this match earlier, showing what each team has to do. It might take more from the Thieves if they're going to keep up with the firepower Ultra possesses. And with Kenny out sick and Subbing in Capsidal, it will be even more complicated.

Let's dive into how each round went in the match with Toronto Ultra and LA Thieves.

Hardpoint - Mercado

Wow. What a start to what was thought to be the match of the night. The LA Thieves got off to a hot start and gained a big lead. Capsidal, the sub, who hasn't played professionally in quite some time, did a great job filling in for Kenny, who is out sick this weekend. He held his own and made a ton of smart plays. Thieves were making quick rotates to the hill, but they couldn't rid Toronto Ultra of taking control of the backend of the time. Scrap got rolling late in the round, taking accurate shots and controlling hills. It came down to the final hill, but Ultra pulled off the victory and took a 1-0 lead with a 250-241 win.

Search and Destroy - Mercado

The round started close, with Ultra taking the first and the Thieves taking the second. But it was all downhill from there for the Thieves. Scrap was a menace - just absolutely disgusting with the AR. He played patient and was lethal in every round. One thing the Thieves needed to focus on in SnD was getting Octane rolling, and he couldn't manage that in this round. He kept getting caught in pinches and couldn't work his way out of them. Every time the Thieves would trade a kill, they'd quickly lose the next gunfight. The Thieves find themselves in a win-or-out situation from here on out. Ultra took the lead 2-0 with a 6-1 SnD victory.

Control - Hotel

A clinical round of Control on Hotel, a map that Ultra has dominated this season. They were 13-5 coming in to today on Hotel and showed why with this round. Standy was ridiculously nasty, landing a sick three-piece to wrap up the round win. Scrap made the switch to SMG in round one but switched back to AR to finish off the map. Ultra let the Thieves close up B quickly on both their defending rounds but locked down A with precision. They were working with tremendous teamwork and playing off of each other. It was very technical and precise for Ultra. They wrap up the sweep with a 3-0 victory on Control to end the series with a clean 3-0 victory.

Final Score & Stats From Toronto Ultra vs. LA Thieves Control

The LA Thieves showed some good fight in them while working with a quality sub with Kenny out sick. But they were no match for the best team in the Call of Duty League right now. Toronto Ultra dominated each round, led by Scrap, but the team played very well off each other. Standy was phenomenal, Insight made some insightful plays, and CleanX played a strong role throughout.

If the Thieves, the defending Champions, weren't on code red alert, they should be now.
