This season sees the number of Majors reduced from five to just four, seeing a return to Boston in the MGM Music Hall, and Toronto in which we assume will be held at the Mattamy Athletic Center once again.
“We are thrilled to kick off the 2024 Call of Duty League season by welcoming players, fans and partners back to Boston for Major I. Our team entered last year with the goal of putting Boston on the map as an esports hub and the CDL’s amazing community did not let us down.” said Murph Jr Vandervelde, President & Co-Founder of Oxygen Esports.
The newest team to the Call of Duty League, Miami Heretics, will also be hosting their first Major this year. Arnau Vidal, Founder of Heretics said, “We are extremely excited to host the Major 2 in Miami. The US fans are very important for us, so having the chance to operate a Major in our first season as Miami Heretics is something we could not say no to. We cannot wait to bring all the community together in such a special event.”

2024 CDL Season Format Changes
As always, teams will play Hardpoint, Search and Destroy and Control in competitive game modes. However, in the 2024 Call of Duty League season, teams will play seven qualifying matches. Majors 1 and 4 will see four weeks of qualifiers, while Majors 2 and 3 will have five weeks of qualifiers. Due to this change, LAN Matches will have more CDL points on the line, ensuring that teams need to perform on LAN and can't rely on Online performances.
