NICKMERCS and TimTheTatman Get Call of Duty Operator Skins
Call of Duty streamer Nick “NICKMERCS” Kolcheff is getting an in-game skin.
NICKMERCS is about to become the first streamer to ever get a skin in Call of Duty in the history of the franchise. He will be joining other celebrities, however, like NBA player Kevin Durant and horror icon Leatherface.
The NICKMERCS bundle includes an operator skin that looks like a spartan with a gladiator helmet in black and red. It also has a dramatic cape for extra drama. Some added armor-like details for added intensity. It clearly takes inspiration from NICKMERCS’ MFAM spartan logo, which also appears on the side of the black and red weapon as a weapon charm.
The announcement was met with a lot of excitement from the gaming community. FaZe Clan called it a “W” as did Ali “SypherPK” Hassan, who added “huge W.” Jack “CouRage” Dunlop said: “So sick!!! Congrats brother!!!” Call of Duty itself called the collaboration “HEAT.”
This is a big moment for NICKMERCS, who is known for grinding battle royales as of late. He was the largest Call of Duty streamer when the original Warzone was released, even playing with streamers like Tim “TimTheTatman” Betar and Guy “DrDisrespect” Beahm.
Recently, NICKMERCS pursued a pro career in Apex Legends and that’s what fans will mostly see him play these days. However, he did take a break from practicing to get a Nuke when Call of Duty: Warzone 2 dropped.
When Is the NICKMERCS Skin Available in Call of Duty?
The NICKMERCS bundle will be available within Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 on May 31. Grab the skin by updating your game and heading to the operator tab.
But That’s Not All
On the same day, you’ll also be able to grab TimTheTatman’s bundle, which also has an operator skin, custom weapon blueprint, and more.
TimTheTatman originally thought he was going to get a Call of Duty skin on his birthday last year. It only made sense, since TimTheTatman is one of the biggest Call of Duty streamers there is. But he was trolled by developers in response.
It got a laugh out of the Call of Duty community, but left TimTheTatman a bit salty. Luckily, he’s been given a badass operator skin this time around. Who doesn’t want to play as TimTheTatman in a bullet-proof vest?
“Honored to have my own operator in Call of Duty — a game I've played my whole life and also started my streaming career,” TimTheTatman tweeted.
This makes TimTheTatman and NICKMERCS the first streamers to have a skin in Call of Duty.
