OpTic Texas have dominated Major 4 Qualifiers so far, and they close out the matches with another win, taking them to a 5-0 record in the Qualifiers. With the biggest support in the Call of Duty League, the players of OpTic Texas have the most pressure on them in every match, but this hasn't affected them in Major 4 Qualifiers, being the only team to have a flawless 5-0 record.

OpTic take down Breach for 5-0 record

OpTic Texas came into this match with one plan, win the series and take a flawless record into Major 4. The series began on Mercado, and Hardpoint has been OpTic’s best mode in this stage. A 250-193 victory saw Brandon “Dashy” Otell absolutely dominate the map, putting up a 1.60 K/D with 24k/15d. This wasn't the highest in the lobby, as new kid Kyle “Kremp” Haworth on the side of Boston Breach put up 27k in the map one, but it wasn't enough to take the 1-0 lead in the series.

Speaking of new kids, Daniel “Ghosty” Rothe dominated the map two Search and Destroy. Ghosty was the only player on the OpTic Texas roster to break double digits with 11k, seeing him put up a massive 2.75 K/D. However, the third map in this series wasn't so clean. Boston Breach got one back on the map three El Asilo Control with a 3-2 victory. Here, the entire Boston Breach roster finished with positive K/D’s, with Kremp topping the leaderboard with a 1.31. On the side of OpTic Texas, they struggled for kills, with Ghosty having an especially tough game finishing with a 0.50 K/D.

But perhaps this was the setback OpTic needed, with an extremely well played Hotel Hardpoint bringing them the series win in a 250-175 victory. Dashy was once again the main slayer here, dropping 1.33 K/D with 28k/21d as OpTic Texas closed out the map, the series and the qualifiers.

OpTic Texas are now the only team to have a flawless 5-0 record in qualifying matches, with an astonishing 15-3 map count. This puts them as the clear favourites heading into Major 4 in Columbus. Unfortunately, there will be no spectators at this Major, but OpTic Texas have been dominating, and if Dashy can continue his performance from today into the Major 4 LAN competition, OpTic Texas could be looking at a championship.
