When Is IEM Katowice 2024?

IEM Katowice 2024 is taking place from January 31 to February 11, 2024. This will include three days of intense CS2 action, featuring teams like G2 Esports, FaZe Clan, Team Vitality, ENCE, and MOUZ, as well as a StarCraft II tournament the last four days.

IEM Katowice will be the first large-scale CS2 tournament in Poland. There will be a $1 million prize pool and the chance to earn a spot at the Intel Grand Slam V and IEM Cologne 2024.

IEM Katowice Schedule and Format

Here is the schedule and format of IEM Katowice, according to a press release from IEM:

Play-In Stage (January 31 - February 2):

IEM Katowice 2024 play-in bracket
ESL
  • 16 teams will compete in a double-elimination bracket.
    • Opening matches are best-of-one.
    • All following matches are best-of-three.
  • The top eight teams will advance to the Group Stage, joining eight directly invited teams.

Group Stage (February 3 - 6):

Group A bracket
Group B bracket
  • Two groups of eight teams will compete in separate double-elimination brackets.
    • All matches are best-of-three.
  • The top three teams from each group will advance to the Playoffs.
    • Group Stage winners advance to the Semifinals.
    • The Group Stage runner-ups advance to the Quarterfinals as the High Seeds.
    • The Group Stage third-place teams advance to the Quarterfinals as the Low Seeds.

Playoffs (February 9 - 11):

  • The top six teams will compete in a single-elimination bracket.
    • The Quarterfinals and Semifinals will be best-of-three.
    • The Grand Final will be a best-of-five.

Where to Watch IEM Katowice 2024

The live broadcast of the Counter-Strike 2 tournament will be on the ESL Counter-Strike Twitch and YouTube channels.

IEM Katowice StarCraft II Tournament Details

The last four days of IEM Katowice 2024 will be a StarCraft II tournament featuring the best 24 players in the world. This will have a $500,000 prize pool.

Over February 8 through the 11th, you can watch top players like Oliveira, Maru, Cyan, and more compete for the top spot. This will be broadcast on the ESL StarCraft II Twitch and YouTube channels.
