The Heroes in a Half Shell are back in Fortnite. The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles are returning to the battle royale in a week after months of rumors.

All the way back in August, Fortnite players started seeing leaks about the pizza-loving mutants coming to Fortnite, including some files that were uncovered by data miners. Then, manhole covers started popping up on the map. Now it's finally confirmed.

The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles are coming to Fortnite on February 9, 2024.

The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Are Back in Fortnite

Back in December, Fortnite fans received some Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles skins part of Chapter 5 Season 1's Winterfest update.

After that, gamers started hearing rumors that more TMNT was on its way. On January 24, a leak indicated that Shredder himself was coming — and it was said to be part of a bigger event.

It's currently unclear what the crossover will entail. Fortnite has not revealed if there will be any challenges, events, or further cosmetics. A lot of people believe it may just be the addition of a Shredder skin. Others are wondering if Bebop and Rocksteady will also be joining the fray.

Some leaks point to more interesting content coming to Fortnite along with Shredder. According to one trusted leaker, there will be a questline included called April O'Neil Investigates! This will have the following quests:

  • Talk to April
  • Hide in sewer entrances
  • Visit the Underground HQ
  • Find empty pizza boxes

Of course, these have not been confirmed by Epic Games so we will have to wait and see what the event entails come February 9.
