How to Unlock Havik in Mortal Kombat 1
Mortal Kombat 1 brings a whole new slate of Kombatants for players to dive into battle with. At launch, there are 23 playable fighters, including Shang Tsung, who's available as a pre-order bonus.
But one character won't immediately be available when loading up Mortal Kombat 1 one for the first time. It's Havik, the Cleric of Chaos originally hailing from the Chaosrealm. He's back in this installment in the Mortal Kombat series, and if you want to use him, there's one big obstacle in your way.
Here's how to unlock Havik in Mortal Kombat 1.
How to Unlock Havik in Mortal Kombat 1
Havik is an unlockable fighter in Mortal Kombat 1 who made his debut in 2004's Mortal Kombat: Deception. As part of the game's roster, he won't be up for grabs as soon as you strike up your first match, however. You have to unlock him first.
To unlock Havik as a playable Kombatant, all you need to do is finish Mortal Kombat 1's story mode. You can do this on any difficulty setting. As soon as you finish the final battle, you'll unlock Havik as well as a slew of other goodies for your trouble. You'll need to make sure you're connected to the internet while doing so, however, or you may run into issues unlocking the character.
Should Havik not immediately become available, go to your Kombat Kard and check your Rewards section to see if unlocking Havik is listed among your accomplishments. If not, you may want to restart your game and load back into it.
You'll need to complete all 15 chapters of the Mortal Kombat 1 story mode to unlock Havik. You can speed through each one by playing on a lesser difficulty mode, but that will still mean skipping through all the story cutscenes if you want to get through at a reasonable pace. Best to just sit back, relax, and enjoy the story while waiting to get your hands on Havik by the end of it all.
