A Thanksgiving Fatality is coming to Mortal Kombat 1 for Turkey Day. It’s unclear what it will exactly entail but if it’s anything like the Halloween Fatality, it will be quite festive — and violent. The Halloween Fatality had a bug-filled pumpkin, a decapitation, and more. Unfortunately, it was met with frustration from the FGC.

The Halloween Fatality was $10, instantly enraging players. Many pointed out that they paid over $100 for the Premium Edition and felt it should have come with the DLC — or it should have at least been cheaper. At the price it was, a lot of gamers felt taken advantage of by NetherRealm Studios.

To combat this, developers are offering a Thanksgiving Fatality. And it’s not $10.

How to Get the Thanksgiving Fatality in Mortal Kombat 1

There are two ways to get the Thanksgiving Fatality in Mortal Kombat 1. The first is an apology from NetherRealm Studios: If you already paid $10 for the Halloween Fatality, you will also get access to the Thanksgiving and Winter Fatalities coming soon. That’s three for the price of one.

The other way is to pay for the Thanksgiving Fatality. You’ll need to use real-life money to purchase Dragon Krystals to pay for the Fatality in-game. The 1,200 Krystals you need will cost $10. If you do this, you’ll also get access to the Halloween Fatality and the upcoming Winter Fatality.

The community responded with mixed reactions. Some expressed frustration that the Fatalities cost money at all while others applauded developers for listening to player feedback and concerns.

What Is the Thanksgiving Fatality?

Right now, we don’t have any confirmation on the full details of the Fatality. We have seen an image of what’s in store, however. It looks like you will stuff a turkey into the enemy’s mouth but it’s unclear where it goes from there. We’re assuming it involves some type of decapitation if we know anything about Mortal Kombat.
