Diablo 4 Announces First Expansion Vessel of Hatred at Blizzcon 2023

The biggest Diablo 4 announcement is the reveal of its first expansion title Vessel of Hatred. The first expansion for Diablo 4, Vessel of Hatred is set to release in late 2024. There are few details released so far, but it does take place in a region known as Nahantu and will focus on the fate of Mephisto.

The expansion Vessel of Hatred will also introduce a brand new class to the Diablo 4 world, but no clues yet on exactly what it could be.

Other Diablo 4 Blizzcon 2023 News

The Diablo 4 expansion announcement wasn’t the only news released during Blizzcon 2023’s opening ceremonies. Players were also told that Enchanting Previews would be coming in December, along with the game's first-ever holiday event. Midwinter Blight will start on December 12th and run for three weeks.

Another seasonal event coming soon is the Abattoir of Zir. A challenge that is designed for level 100 characters who have mastered everything else in the season and need a greater challenge. It’s a replayable event that starts hard and only gets harder as players progress.

Finally, with Season 3, players can expect a new weekly challenge called The Gauntlet that will feature leaderboards to compare yourself against your friends, guilds and others.
