Helldivers 2 has been breaking player records and proving itself to be a fun multiplayer game. The issue is that maybe too many players have been taking down alien. Server issues have started to plague the game to the point where developers have offered extra XP. Now, the CEO has even chimed in.

Since launch, Helldivers 2 has been struggling with server issues. As a result, Arrowhead has even set a limit on how many players can game at once in an attempt to fix server issues. Unfortunately, players are still having issues logging in and joining servers.

As the server issues have continued, Arrowhead CEO Johan Pilestedt has made some shocking statements about the game.

Helldivers 2 CEO Comments on Server Issues

Helldivers 2 CEO Johan Pilestedt took to Twitter to make some surprising remarks about buying the game. He told one player: "If you have no cash, get it later. While we made a really fun game, it's worth waiting until the servers can support the capacity."

This is obviously hard for a CEO to say. Pilestedt admitted that he wanted the game to be "as profitable as possible" but explained he would feel bad if someone spent their limited funds on Helldivers 2 just to be "stuck in server queues."

The transparency from the CEO actually made the gamer want Helldivers 2 more. A lot of other fans also appreciated the tweet and have continued to commend the development team for seeming to care how the playerbase feels.

For now, it's unclear when the server issues will be resolved. It's most likely a top priority for the team.
