Were you experiencing matchmaking issues in Helldivers 2? Arrowhead Games Studios has released a patch that addresses matchmaking, performance, and stability issues.

On Twitter, developers announced Patch 01.000.006: "Recruits, help is on the way!"

Patch 01.000.006 is for PC and PlayStation 5 players, fixing a lot of issues players have been discussing on social media. This includes the game crashing after cutscenes and after extracting from certain missions.

The other big update is with Helldivers 2's "backend connectivity," which was previously making it difficult to play the game with friends. As a game focused on co-op gameplay, players were getting quite frustrated with the game disconnecting during missions with friends.

Here are the full patch notes for Helldivers 2 Patch 01.000.006.

Helldivers 2 Players React to Performance Issues

Over 360,000 players dived in to the new shooter on February 8. While the concept of fighting off alien armies was tantalizing, the massive influx of players saw a lot of issues with the game's performance. Some players couldn't even login to the game.

To combat this, Arrowhead sent out some "rapid fixes" in an attempt to fix the game's performance, although gamers pointed out that the performance on PC became worse after one such fix. Developers even apologized for the issues and promised "increased rewards" in an upcoming event to make up for the lost progression and other malfunctions.

Despite the setbacks, gamers have appreciated the quick fixes from Helldivers 2 developers during the last week.

Others, however, have pointed out that the game is still crashing big time after the update. Some players also reported that the game would restart after missions, eliminating their progress.

Only time will tell if the developers can figure out how to improve the game's performance going forward.
