MAR10 Day 2024 Announcements Reveal Dates For Upcoming Games, Mario Movie Sequel
MAR10 Day, also known as Mario Day, is always full of exciting announcements and this year was no different. Earlier today, Mario fans got some exciting news about the plumber and his iconic crew.

Big Announcements on MAR10 Day 2024
The Super Mario Bros. 2
A new Super Mario Bros. movie has been officially confirmed by Nintendo and Illumination. According to Illumination Studio's Chris Meledandri, the same team that made the first movie is currently working on storyboarding and world building, focusing on getting "every detail right." The animation will start "soon," he added. The movie is confirmed for April 3, 2026 in the US.
So far, Nintendo doesn't want to share anything specific about the film. What we already know, however, is that Yoshi is most likely going to make his big screen animation debut.
Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door Release Date
Fans of the Paper Mario series have been waiting to find out when the Thousand-Year Door remake would finally arrive. It now has the confirmed release date of May 23, 2024. The original came out in 2004, a sequel to the first Paper Mario, and was instantly considered an all-time favorite RPG.
Luigi's Mansion 2 HD Release Date
Another remake was also finally given a release date, Luigi's Mansion 2 HD. This game will be coming out on June 27, 2024. Luigi's Mansion 2 was one of the most popular 3DS games so fans are excited to see how it will translate in the remake with better graphics for the Nintendo Switch.
New Games For Switch Online
Three classic Game Boy games are coming to Switch Online on March 12. Dr. Mario, Mario Golf, and Mario Tennis will be available to play on the Nintendo Switch, serving up some childhood memories. Many Nintendo fans have already started reminiscing about their addiction to these games as kids.
