How to Prepare For Pokémon GO Tour: Sinnoh
Pokémon GO Tour: Sinnoh – Global is coming later this month, a two-day celebration of all things Diamond and Pearl. If you want to experience all there is during this special experience, here is our complete guide.
Pokemon GO's Road to Sinnoh Event Guide
Pokémon GO Tour: Sinnoh – Global takes place from February 24 and 25 from 10 AM to 6 PM local time. During this time, you'll get to take part in raids against powerful Pokémon. Sort out your storage to get prepared for all the 'mon you're going to catch and the items you'll get by completing research tasks and raids.
Choose Your Partner For Pokémon GO Tour: Sinnoh
When you start Team GO Rocket's Special Research story, you'll need to choose between the following starters:
- Turtwig
- Chimchar
- Piplup
Developers have noted that all three starters are great, so just go with your favorite. Would you want a fast Fire Pokémon? An aggressive Water Pokémon? Or maybe a defensive Grass Pokémon?
Road to Sinnoh
Have your starter in mind? Participate in the Road to Sinnoh, an event that starts February 19 and ends February 23. During this time you can take advantage of an Egg hatch distance bonus, Timed Research, and encounters with Hetran, Origin Forme Giratina, Cresselia, and Darkrai.
You can also pay $5 to take part in even exclusive research tasks. The rewards include:
- 10 Dialga Candy
- 10 Palkia Candy
- 5 Heatran Candy XL
- 5 Giratina Candy XL
- 5 Cresselia Candy XL
- 5 Darkrai Candy XL
- Eevee Mask
- 5,000 XP
- And more
Origin Forme Dialga and Palkia
These two Pokémon will debut during this year's Go Tour events. This means you'll have the chance to capture extremely powerful 'mon so you'll want to participate in as many raids as possible.
To prepare, power up about 12 Pokémon so you can challenge these two Pokémon. Also stock up on Revives, Max Revives, and Potions.
Special Trades
During this event, you can also make up to six Special Trades each day, or 12 total. Special Trades allow you to swap Pokémon that cannot normally be traded, including Legendary and Shiny Pokémon. These trades will only cost half the Stardust during the event.
Discuss the trades you want with friends beforehand so you're ready. Other ways to prepare for Pokémon GO Tour: Sinnoh includes stocking up on useful items like Incense and Lucky Eggs and keeping Pokémon handy that you may want to evolve during the event.
