Rainbow Six Siege is one of the most serious titles in the FPS genre. Fans often praise it for its realistic appearance and intense gameplay. That's why it was quite jarring and controversial when it was announced that Master Chief was coming to Rainbow Six Siege.

How to Join the Rainbow Six Siege Marketplace Beta

Leakers shocked the R6 community in August of 2023 when they revealed that Rainbow Six was partnering with Halo, resulting in a Master Chief skin for Sledge. While it seemed a little outlandish, this became a reality a month later.

The response was mixed. Some players applauded the fun crossover and expressed excitement to run around as Master Chief with a sledgehammer. Others, however, felt that this was a new low for Rainbow Six Siege, which doesn't have almost any crossovers compared to games like Fortnite

"What happened to Rainbow Six Siege?" one fan asked on Reddit upon hearing the news.

The big concern, however, was the price. Master Chief is an Elite skin for Sledge, meaning it costs a minimum of $20. Many found that ridiculous to pay for a single skin. The bundle was 2,403 R6 Credits, making it the most expensive Elite Bundle in the store.

How To Play as Master Chief in Rainbow Six Siege

If you want to play as Master Chief, you simply need to purchase the skin from Rainbow Six Siege's in-game store. Here is what you'll get in the set:

  • Spartan-117 headgear and uniform
  • Banished Gravity Hammer gadget skin
  • M590A1 shotgun and L825A2 weapon skins
  • P226 MK25 pistol weapon skin
  • Operator cards
  • Victory celebration
  • Cortana Chibi charm

To get this bundle, you'll need to use R6 Credits. You can purchase R6 Credits in the in-game shop. Once in the shop, scroll down to the Currency Packs to see all of the options. These Credits can only be used on skins and skin bundles.
