How to Get Rid of Pals in Palworld — Should You Release Or Kill Them?
Eventually, you’re going to have too many Pals. You get rewarded for catching 10 of the same Pal but you’ll soon need to release some Pals back into the wild. So can you? Well, Palworld doesn’t have the option to simply release Pals unlike some other unmentionable games. Here’s what you can do instead.

How to Release Pals in Palworld
There are a few ways to get rid of Pals you no longer want. Here are the options to consider, ranging from slightly evil to completely brutal.
Drop Them
The easiest way to get rid of an unwanted Pal is to drop them onto the ground. Here’s how:
- Go into your Party tab
- Press R on the Pal you don’t want
The Pal will be dropped onto the ground as a sphere. You’ll see their stats and skills at this point. As you can see, this is a very, very simple way to get rid of an unwanted Pal but it may not be the most satisfying.
Sell Them
If you think simply dropping off your Pal isn’t satisfying enough, you can make a profit by selling your Pal instead.
All you need to do is head to a Pal Merchant or Black Marketeer. They will take your unwanted Pals in exchange for Gold Coins. These coins can be used for crafting materials or buying other Pals.
The stronger the Pal the more they’re worth. But it’s not so much more that it’s worth going on strenuous journeys to find ones to sell for profit. Simply sell more common and easily catchable Pals or just sell Pals you naturally have caught throughout your journey.
Kill Them
Yep, you read that right.
In Palworld, you can build a Meat Cleaver out of certain materials and then select it from your Command Wheel. When you pick this option, you will see your Pal be executed by your character.
There’s no reason to brutally murder your unwanted Pals but obviously, some people won’t be able to resist this cruel method. Not only are you killing a Pal, but you had other Pals harvest Ingots, Wood, and Stone to create the weapon you later use to do it.
Pure. Evil.
