The Statistics
Here's a breakdown of statistics on the top Twitch streamers for March 12th through the 19th, as tracked by Sullygnome. Watch time represents how much time viewers tuned in for, and stream time is the total time they were live. Peak viewership shows a streamer's most viewers at any point in the month, while average viewership shows the most regular amount of viewers.
Followers are the number of unique Twitch accounts following a streamer, and followers gained to show the growth or decline of that number for each streamer this month.
0. Just Chatting
Just Chatting is always the largest category on Twitch. The largest category on the platform is down a fairly significant 5.3% in terms of watch time, which is a substantial change from the previous week’s trend of lower numbers for that statistic. A decrease like this can be indicative of a downward trend in terms of the platform's engagement.
1. Grand Theft Auto: Five (GTAV)
Grand Theft Auto has been the most popular game on Twitch all year, and it looks like that trend is set to continue into March. Watch time decreased this week slightly at 1.9%. This is further evidence of a general decrease in engagement across the platform.
3. League of Legends
League of Legends is this week’s most popular esport. Watch Time decreased by 7.1%which is a fairly substantial decrease.
4. VALORANT
VALORANT saw a sharp increase in activity this week. With a 32.2% increase in activity, this was the second-largest increase in the top ten this week. VCT stage 1 was responsible for the substantial uptick in watch time this past week.
4. Counter-Strike
Counter-Strike increased sharply with a watch time increase of 30.9%. The CS2 Copenhagen Major is responsible for a massive uptick in traffic towards the FPS esports classic.
5. Fortnite
Fortnite saw a decrease of 19.6 percent in terms of watch time, which is a meaningful decrease. No large-scale events this week may be responsible for this decrease in watch time.
6. Dota 2

7. Overwatch 2

8. Apex Legends
Apex Legends lost a large amount of watch time with a decrease of 10.7%. This could be the result of the seemingly large gains Apex Legends made over the last several weeks with tournaments being a regular occurrence, and their absence this week.
9. Call of Duty: Warzone
Warzone maintains it’s spot on the bottom part of the top 10 list, with little action in either direction. Most statistics trend towards small growth across the board, but Warzone has been stagnant for several weeks now.
