The long-awaited arrival of Overwatch 2 Season 10 is delayed.

Season 10, which boasts a new DPS hero and competitive currency, appears to have a new release date in-game, although developers haven't shared this officially. Here is what we know about Season 10's new release date.

When Is Overwatch 2 Season 10?

Overwatch 2 Season 10 is coming out later than expected. According to the in-game timer, the new release date for Season 10 is April 16, 2024. The original release was April 9, 2024.

The reaction to the sudden delay has been met with mixed feelings from the Overwatch 2 community. Some players expressed sadness over having to wait to play Venture, the new hero. Others, however, applauded the developers for giving employees a break.

Said one player: "Knowing that a lot of folks have just lost their jobs and the team has been gutted, I'm glad there's a delay. What's left of the team need the time after what happened."

Another change is coming to competitive in the form of Competitive Currency that can be used to buy Golden Weapons. Game Director Aaron Keller previously said this change would happen when Season 10 arrives.

In addition, there will no longer be grouping restrictions. This means that five-stacks can play competitive games together even if their ranks are completely different from one another.
