The 7 Most Expensive Cards in SV: Paldean Fates
Strongest Cards in Paldean Fates
Mew ex
Yes, another competitively viable Mew card! Just what the TCG needs to keep it fresh and fun. This Mew ex card allows you to use your opponent’s active Pokémon’s attack against them. This can be quite the shock to an opponent when you pull that out. On top of that, Mew ex has an ability that lets you draw cards, something that’s always appreciated in the card game.
Gardevoir ex
This card is very playable. (Yes, another playable Gardevoir.) The latest Gardevoir EX lets you attach as many basic energy from your discard pile to your ‘mon on your turn. While you will have to take some damage, this will let you set up your board quite fast and hopefully allow you to steamroll your opponent with multiple Pokémon able to attack.
Charizard ex
Surprise — another strong Charizard card. This card fits right into an existing Charizard deck that relies on energy acceleration and powerful attacks. Buff your deck with this new Charizard, which lets you have a major comeback since it does more damage based on how many prize cards your opponent has already taken. On top of that, the ability says you can put three basic energy on your Pokémon when you evolve into this Charizard, another great comeback mechanic.
Iono
This support states you and your opponent must both shuffle your hands and put them at the bottom of your deck. Then, take new cards up to the amount of prize cards you have remaining. If your opponent is in the lead, this can really disrupt their plans. Not only do they lose the cards they’ve been holding into but they will draw a small amount of cards, hopefully making them brick.
Squawkabilly ex
If you’re looking for a Pokémon with a great mechanic for your bench, look no further than Squawkabilly ex. Its ability lets you discard your hand during your first turn and then draw six cards. Quite useful if you have a hand that’s not the most playable.
Miraidon ex
With a super powerful attack and a great energy acceleration ability, Miraidon ex is a top ‘mon in Paldean Fates. This lightning attacker hits fast and for a base of 220. There’s a reason it has been featured in most of the top decks at recent regionals.
