While some cards are coveted for their powerful abilities, others are highly desired for their incredible artwork. Collectors will pay top dollar for cards with beautiful images, whether it’s a fierce portrayal of their favorite Pokémon or a fun interpretation of an iconic character. Now, card collectors can add their own artwork to the mix.

The Pokémon TCG Illustration Contest 2024 has officially opened.

What Is the Pokémon TCG Illustration Contest 2024?

The Pokémon TCG Illustration Contest 2024 is luckily exactly what it sounds like: It’s a chance to create your own unique take on some of the most popular ‘mon for a cash prize.

There are 10 different Pokémon to choose from. They include:

  • Charizard
  • Pikachu
  • Eevee
  • Feraligatr
  • Flygon
  • Absol
  • Bidoof
  • Melmetal
  • Toxtricity (Amped Form)
  • Koraidon

Pokémon is encouraging trainers to “showcase their talent” by interpreting these popular monsters however you want. This could mean something super aggressive and intense or just a Pokémon “enjoying a moment in its day.” Either way, it’s your chance to create a dream card illustration of some of the most iconic Pokémon from the game having a “Magical Pokémon Moment.”
