7-Star Iron Bundle Tera Raid Guide Pokémon Scarlet & Violet, Best Counters
- The Iron Bundle 7 Star Tera Raid will only concur for three days starting on December 22nd until December 24th, 2023.
- The Tera Raids can only be found in Paldea and will be happening at the same time as Blissey Raids.
- Some of the best counters for Ice-type 7-Star Iron Bundle Tera raids include Goldhengo, Lucario and Iron Hands.
The next major Tera Raid hitting Pokémon Scarlet and Violet is the Ice-type Iron Bundle. It comes with the Mightiest Mark title and players can also find Blissey raids throughout Paldea for increased rewards this weekend as well. The Iron Bundle 7-Star Tera Raids begin on December 22nd and will end on December 24th.
Iron Bundle is a great pick-up for any trainer since it boasts impressive speed and a high special attack stat. If you put Iron Bundle in your line-up, it’s likely to always go first but does suffer from defenses on the lower end.
Unlock the High Level Raids
If you haven’t battled in the 7-Star Tera Raids, this is what is going to take you the most time. To unlock access you need to have finished the core story of Pokémon Scarlet & Violet, which shouldn’t be an issue at this point. You’ll be asked to go around and battle all the gyms again, then participate in the Ace Tournament. All of that shouldn’t give you too much difficulty, so all that’s left is to participate in ten Tera Raids of 4 and 5 Star difficulty.
When you’ve participated in enough of them, you should see 7-Star Tera Raids start to pop up on your map but only when you are connected online.
Capturing Iron Bundle
Start by finding the raid den for Iron Bundle, it’ll be a dark, black flashing Ice icon on your map. Iron Bundle will always be an Ice Tera-type for these raids, so that’s going to help determine the best counter to take them down.
The 7-Star Raids are very tough, so it’s recommended you go in with a group of actual players and don’t just fill up your team with the NPC players. But, if you think the Pokémon you have is up to the challenge, people have soloed 7-Star Raids in the past.
Rewards for Iron Bundle
What kinds of rewards do you get for taking down Iron Bundle? You’ll be able to add Iron Bundle to your Pokémon collection and this one comes with the Mightiest Mark, so they’ll appear on the battlefield as Iron Bundle the Unrivaled. Since this is a 7-Star Raid, your Iron Bundle will also boast a perfect spread of 6 Best IVs.
You’ll also get the best chance at Herba Mystica, Ability Patches and Capsules, a large amount of Tera Shards and plenty of items to sell for Poke Dollars. Plus, the best chances at Bottle Caps and Golden Bottle Caps for hyper training.
Iron Bundle’s Set-Up
Iron Bundle's likely move set is going to include Freeze Dry, Hydro Pump, Blizzard and Play Rough. They’ll also have access to Electric Terrain. Iron Bundle is very quick and has a very high special attack stat, so be ready for some heavy damage unless you bring along Pokémon who are resistant to Iron Bundle’s move types.
The Best Counters for Iron Bundle
Iron Bundle has a lot of great counters taking into account their Ice Typing, but when you remember they also have water type attacks, it’s probably not a good idea to bring in Fire or Rock types. Here’s the three best counters you can employ against Iron Bundle.
Iron Hands
Here’s all the basic details you need to know at a glance to get your Iron Hands prepared.
- Tera Type: Fighting
- Nature: Adamant (Attack Up, Special Attack Down)
- EV Spread: Special Defense 252, Attack 252, HP 4
- Ability: Quark Drive
- Held Item: Sitrus Berry
- Move set:
- Sword Dance
- Close Combat
- Drain Punch
- Thunder Punch
If you enjoy Tera Raids and you don’t have an Iron Hands yet, you need to get one. It’s one of the most versatile Pokémon in the game for countering Tera Raids. Its Fighting\Electric typing and its massive pool of hit points make it a tank for this Iron Bundle raid.
Iron Bundle is going to do some of our work for us here as we take advantage of them using Electric Terrain. This will not only boost our Thunder Punch but also activate our Quark Drive ability. You can further boost your damage with Sword Dance and Iron Hands amazing attack stat will help drive you to victory.
Gholdengo
Here’s all the basic details you need to know at a glance to get your Gholdengo prepared.
- Tera Type: Steel
- Nature: Modest (Special Attack Up, Attack Down)
- EV Spread: HP 4, Special Attack 252, Special Defense 252
- Ability: Good as Gold
- Held Item: Shell Bell
- Move set:
- Light Screen
- Flash Cannon
- Metal Sound
- Nasty Plot
Your Gholdengo’s Good as Gold is a great ability for negating status moves and effects. You’ll also need to keep Light Screen up as much as possible to help Iron Bundles strongest moves from devastating your Pokémon.
Otherwise, all you need to do is keep Nasty Plot and Metal Sound up and then rip through Iron Bundle with your Flash Cannon.
Lucario
Here’s all the basic details you need to know at a glance to get your Lucario prepared.
- Tera Type: Steel
- Nature: Modest (Special Attack Up, Attack Down)
- EV Spread: HP 4, Special Attack 252, Special Defense 252
- Ability: Inner Focus
- Held Item: Shell Bell
- Move set:
- Life Dew
- Flash Cannon
- Metal Sound
- Nasty Plot
Lucario will rely on a similar tactic as to Gholdengo by keeping their special attack high with Metal Sound and Nasty Plot and whittling down Iron Bundle with Flash Cannon. But the survivability of Lucario is increased through healing with Shell Bell and Life Dew.
