How to Take Part In Tera Raid Battles in Pokémon

If you want to encounter these Paradox Pokémon, you'll need to download the latest Poke Portal News. Here's how to do this in-game:

  • Select Poke Portal from the X menu
  • Click on Mystery Gift
  • Check Poke Portal News

After doing this, you'll start seeing "sparkling pillars of light" coming from a Tera Raid crystal around the map. Whenever you see one, walk up to the crystal and interact with it to start a Tera Raid Battle.

Paradox Pokémon encounters can also be hosted by trainers. If someone is playing the other version of the game you can still help, allowing you to battle the Tera Pokémon from whatever version you don't have.

Remember that Brute Bonnet and Iron Hands will have various Tera Types so you'll need to be prepared before heading into battle.
