A collaboration with the Teenage Mutatnt Ninja Turtles was announced at Evo 2023 before the Street Fighter 6 top 6 began, complete with a band singing their theme song live. The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles content will launch on August 8, bringing skins to World Tour and Battle Hub, gear, emotes, titles, stamps, and in-game wallpapers.

The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles collaboration is the second branded partnership within Street Fighter 6 since the game launched earlier this summer. The most exciting part of the collab has people making their avatars one of the famous heroes within World Tour and Battle Hub.

The news was met with shock from the fighting game community, both at Evo 2023 and online. A lot of fans called the collaboration “out of left field” and “crazy” but begged Capcom to do even more. The blend of nostalgia and humor is much-needed and fits into Street Fighter 6’s vibrant, graffiti-filled style.

The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles have been getting a lot of love lately. Seth Rogen’s Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles movie hit theaters this weekend, showing the squad as teenagers just wanting to fight crime and be accepted. But even before this new wave of recognition, the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles appeared in other fighting games, including Injustice and Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl thanks to their incredible fighting capabilities in the comics.
