Street Fighter 6 has had a lot of crossovers since it was released and the latest one is with the anime Spy x Family. The trailer shows Chun Li facing off against Yor Forger, the two seeming equal in strength. At the end, the two women smile knowingly at each other before the trailer cuts to black.

What’s the Spy x Family Street Fighter 6 Collaboration?

January 9, 2024, marks the start of the Spy x Family collaboration in Street Fighter 6.

The collaboration will bring new cosmetics to the fighting game for a limited time but we don’t know what they are just yet. Based on past collabs, we’ll probably see avatar skins for the Battle Hub and some other cosmetics, like stickers. It will most likely not have Street Fighter characters cosplaying as Spy x Family characters.

FGC Reacts to Spy x Family Collaboration

Despite Spy x Family being a very popular anime, the fighting game community is less than excited about the upcoming collaboration.

A lot of gamers have expressed the underwhelming cosmetics that are most likely on the way, wishing that they could be character skins instead. Since it’s just for your avatar, Street Fighter players are not too intrigued.

On top of that, most of the reactions have been regarding the price. A lot are speculating that the cost will be too high after the Outfit 3 DLC drop a few days ago. Each of the new outfits added to Street Fighter 6 costs 300 Fighter Coins, which requires real-world money — at least $12 based on how Capcom sells the Fighter Coin bundles.

Said one player: “It's like a mini-game: Every time they add new content we have to guess how much they'll cost and whether or not it'll be for avatars.”

For now, it’s unclear what the Spy x Family collaboration will actually entail and what the cost will be, but Street Fighter 6 fans are skeptical right now.
