The first ever Teamfight Tactics Set revival has been a massive success as players all over the world have been able to relive the glory days of TFT Galaxies combined with the introduction of Augments and new items. But as the gamemode hits its home stretch, it may be time for players to maximize optimal choices and knowing which champions to prioritize may be a pain to find.

But fear not, With analysis based on data from MetaTFT.com, Esports Illustrated brings you an in-depth look at which champions are the best at each cost in TFT Set 3.5 Revival.

Five-Cost: Janna

Jannaset3.5

Janna stands alone at the top of the Set 3.5 Revival tier list as not only she S-Tier, but the overall best champion in the game with an average placement of 3.24 which is absurd.

For reference, the top champion in TFT Set 10 currently is Ziggs who has an average placement of 3.66, a full .42 placement below Janna.

On top of that, Janna is this dominant without even being a main carry. As the ultimate utility champion, she can do this with just one item. With just a Spear of Shojin, Janna's average placement jumps to a 3.17. But if players really want to make Janna the star of the show, Rageblade, Shojin and Statikk Shiv give Janna an unreal average placement of 2.27 essentially meaning that you will win the lobby more often than not.

Four-Cost: Viktor

There were a couple of four-cost champions in S-Tier and both had near identical average placements but when it comes to being the focal point of their comp, the best four-cost champion in TFT Set 3.5 Revival has to be Viktor.

The main magic damage carry for the Battlecast and Sorcerer comps, Viktor has an average placement of 3.85 which ranks him at the top of the four-cost champions.

When itemizing him correctly, Viktor shoots up to an average placement of 3.35 when equipped with Jeweled Gauntlet, Deathcap and Shojin.

Three-Cost: Neeko

neekotftset3.5

Although not a carry champion, Neeko is an important frontline champion in TFT Set 3.5 and that shows as she is only one of two three-cost champions in S-Tier according to MetaTFT.com. Neeko sits at an exact average placement of 4.0 thanks to her being a main tank in Protector-based frontlines and of course, Star Guardians.

As a main tank, itemizing Neeko is important. Just itemizing her with three-items rockets her average placement all the way to 3.09. But if players are looking to get the most out of Neeko, they will want to give her a build of double Gargoyole Stoneplate and a Redemption which is her best-in-slot build and gives her an average placement of 2.83.

Two-Cost: Ahri

Ahriset3.5tft

The lone two-cost champion in S-tier in Set 3.5 Revival is Ahri. As the premier low-cost reroll champion, Ahri’s 4.12 average placement is nothing to scoff at. While it might seem like Janna and Neeko are the stars in the Star Guardian composition, its actually Ahri who does the heavy lifting in the carry department.

Speaking of carrying, Ahri’s best-in-slot build is very important since Ahri has a lower power ceiling with her being a two-cost champion. With that said, she has a 3.06 average placement when she has Jewled Gauntlet, Nashor’s Tooth and Shojin attached which makes her one of the best carry champions in the game regardless of cost.

One-Cost: Jarvan IV

JarvanTFT3.5

There are no one-cost champions in the S-Tier according to MetaTFT.com but there are two champions that are right on the cusp of the prestigious rank. Those two champions are Zoe and Jarvan IV. However, when looking at who is the overall better champion, Its clear that its Jarvan.

Players may remember when Set 3.5 was originally out a couple of years ago that there was entire patch where Jarvan was far and away the best champion in the game thanks to his at the time overtuned stats. But even looking past that, what he provides to his team is unmatched. A value frontline tank that also gives his team an attack speed steroid is irreplacebale and is the reason why he has an average placement of 4.24.

Hes not really in itemized champion as he provides value with him being on the board alone. However, he does have one S-Tier build being Brambles Vest, Dragon’s Claw and Warmogs Armor that shoots his average placement to a fantastic 3.45.
