Undoubtedly, some favorites to make a deep run in Group Omega would have to be Natus Vincere and Fnatic, whose core group of players are responsible for strong rivalry in the EMEA throughout 2022. Natus Vincere acquired four players from FunPlus Phoenix's 2022 VCT lineup that won VCT Masters Copenhagen while adding Turkish superstar Mehmet "cNed" İpek. For Fnatic, they look to be more reliable than ever as Jake "Boaster" Howlett's squad looks to win their first international LAN tournament.

Another pair of teams that could challenge the pair of EMEA teams in Group Omega would have to be the Americas' Leviathan and 100 Thieves. For 100 Thieves, they have substantially upgraded their 2022 four-man core with former XSET star Matthew "Cryocells" Panganiban as their new duelist in 2023. Additionally, Leviatán is another Americas team that was a consistent force in the VCT 2022 circuit, evident by their 5th-6th place finish at VCT 2022 Stage 2 Masters Copenhagen and quarterfinals finish at VCT Champions 2022. Now, they built on their talented core of Vicente "Tacolilla" Compagnon, Fabian "Shyy" Usnayo, and Francisco "KiNgg" Aravena through additions that have made them a dominant force in scrims, according to NRG's Austin "crashies" Roberts.

With 16 teams, every team has an opportunity to surprise the community, these would be the teams that are ones you should keep an eye out for throughout Group Omega.

VCT LOCK//IN São Paulo will officially return tomorrow, February 22, at 9 am, PST, where Group Omega's Team Liquid and Team Secret will kick off the 2023 season. There, the other half of the 32 teams will look to fight for a spot in the VCT LOCK//IN semifinals alongside Group Alpha's DRX and LOUD.
